There's been some changes to the policy (now Number MOT106998501.)
They responded swiftly to our claim although it is not yet resolved after 3 weeks. Still awaiting for the smash repairer's assessment of the extent of hailstone damage to our brand-new car which is extensive based on their initial inspection. Our friends advised us that other insurance companies would consider replacing the damaged car with a new one rather than replacing the damaged panels piece by piece.

The process to take out a car insurance policy was straightforward. The policy had good coverage and a competitive price. Whether your service is "good" will be determined if I ever have to make a legitimate claim.

Be upfront with excess options

Big difference from initial quote to the final rate but took a lot of questions on my part. You nearly lost a customer
The operator had a thick accent and we both struggled to understand each other. He didn't go over the excess options. When I asked whhy the rate was so much more than previous years he said it was because of my new (second hand) car. After accepting I then remembered I could change the excess and had to go through the process again to get a better rate. Happy now, but he should have been more upfront with options.

See previous comment re time spent and miss information. .
It took 23min for the first call.. then I was assured the update call would only take a few minutes. The update call the next day took over 30min... I am still cranky about it
