I have been through a claim process which was painful through an extremely traumatic experience. It made me seriously look at my insurance options. Real still came up trumps but I feel better about it knowing the hoops you might have to jump through for a serious claim - just hope for my own sake I never ever have one of those again! Insurance never really covers everything. Valuable lesson.
The phone consultant was friendly helpful and patient. I am used to dealing with Real now and know some time is involved, but having an operator I can understand, and who was also positive and had a ‘let’s do this’ attitude instead of ‘I know i’m Not making you happy but I really need this information’, it was refreshing.

Premium doubles with no explanation - ridiculous!

My insurance premium for my house literally doubled from last year. Had the matter supposedly escalated and was supposed to get a call back. Instead got no call back and policy cancelled. I then called 2 further times for an explanation but was given no proper reasons - apparently my suburb is suddenly flood prone this year even though i live on a steep property about 25m above sealevel! its just a joke. very poor

Policy explained very well and took time to answer my questions
Eventually got good help. The first customer service officer told me my question was too difficult. Second attempt I got out through to three different officers and finally I got very good help but it took three phone calls for something that I thought would occur often. I do have praise for the short wait time though. This is very encouraging to stay with Real
