Still too expensive for insurance given that I have 0 claims
Cheaper to get a new policy each year and cancel the old one than to let the existing one roll over. That is a poor outcome for loyal customers.

It saved me money compared with my last year insurer.
The only dealings I have had so far is to take out home and contents insurance with them. My sister had reason to make a claim against a person that had run into her car and my sister was very happy with real for handling the claim against the person's insurance policy. Everything were smoothly for her.

The online process was easy to navigate. It had questions that suit if you are not moving into the house (other insurance companies don't). The quote was a lot cheaper than others as well. The only negative is that it is not a 24/7 service. We rang to ask a question and were told we would have to ring back during business hours.
We are buying a house in Qld and as per their law, as soon as you sign a contract, you have to take out insurance by 5pm the next business day. Other insurance companies don't seem to cater for people who aren't actually living in the house at the time. Their mandatory questions are which month did you move in? Real Insurance me our needs.

I have been a customer for approx. 8 years and whenever I get my policy renewal through each year it works out cheaper to buy a new one online and start fresh. There is no discount or loyalty for staying with Real each year and when you ask customer service they just shrug their shoulders and say well buy online then. Insurance is cheap which is why I stay but not loyal to long term customers.
